Happy Sunday from Kalaw in the mountains of Myanmar!
This has been an epic week of adventure here in Myanmar. I’ve been traveling on a group tour for the first time in a while and I forgot how great it is getting to know a big group of travelers while exploring a new country together! Even if the pace is much more hectic than when I’m traveling on my own, I’ve seen so much in such a short time.
In the last week, I’ve wandered the bustling streets of Yangon, soared above Bagan at sunrise in a hot air balloon, biked the dusty streets between temples, floated down the Ayeyarwady River to Mandalay, and hiked the mountains here in Kalaw. Tomorrow we head to Inle Lake, supposedly the show-stopping finale to our two weeks here. I can’t wait!
A quick note – the internet here in Myanmar is very slow and I’ve not managed to get any of my photos uploaded this week for new posts. But don’t worry – once I get to Bangkok on Friday, the floodgates will open with all my Myanmar stuff. Until then, enjoy these five photos from the week….they took two hours to upload!
Have a fantastic week everyone!
