I owe you an explanation. There have been no updates in the last two weeks here at AAAW. Don’t worry, I’m not dead. Have a look at this:
That’s my computer screen. The crack is the result of a bizarre accident involving a public bus in India and/or an overeager hotel bellboy. When I discovered it, I was preeetty bummed……but I did not let it ruin my last two weeks in India. I decided that was a sign I needed to put away the computer at last and engage fully for the end of my 3+ months in Asia.
And that is exactly what I did! In fact, in the last two weeks, I managed to cross FOUR things off my Life List: I took an Indian cooking class in Udaipur, celebrated Holi (the color festival), visited the Taj Mahal at sunrise AND sunset, and got all spiritual in Varanasi! That’s heavy engagement, I have to say.
After wrapping up my adventures in Asia, on Friday I flew to London and reunited with the Brit after over three months apart. I’m SO excited to spend some quality time here and get to know the city I fell in love with when I studied abroad here 10 years ago.
In honor of my impromptu absence, here’s a double edition of Sunday Snaps with my best 10 photos from the last two weeks…..and keep your eyes peeled for alllllll the stories from my adventures that will come pouring out as I get caught up.
Have a fantastic week everyone!

The holy city of Pushkar under a full moon.

Outside the Amber Fort in Jaipur.

I was kind of obsessed with experimenting with the multi-foil archways in my photos.

Celebrating Holi, the color festival, was one of the best days of my life. So. much. fun!

The Taj Mahal from the Red Fort in Agra. This was my first glimpse of it!

This is the spot where you first see the Taj after entering the gates. It was a madhouse when we arrived with everyone stopping to take photos instead of moving in. I’ve never been anywhere more crowded.

A mural on the Ganges in Varanasi.

Sunrise on the Ganges.

A sunset boat ride in Varanasi, my last stop before finally heading West to make my way home.

This may not be the prettiest picture, but this was my absolute favorite view in London when I lived here years ago – the view of Big Ben down Whitehall from Trafalgar Square. So chuffed to see it again! (And yes, I said “chuffed”…….I love that word.)
